On July 29, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, signed the Law #1586-ІХ amending Article 4 of the Law “On Pesticides and Agrochemicals” regarding import of new pesticide samples into the customs territory of Ukraine for state testing and research, dated June 30, 2021 (previously Draft Law #2289).
American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine welcomes the signing of Law #1586-ІХ that gives Ukrainian farmers access to high-quality and innovative crop protection products (CPPs), which was blocked during last 5 years. The following Law will increase the competitiveness of agricultural products, renew scientific research and state tests of innovative CPPs, and stimulate investments flow in industry’s research.
Law #1586-ІХ will allow business to get ready for a new season and companies to get enough time to prepare for the import of new samples of innovative CPPs for state tests and research. It will ultimately boost Ukraine’s economic growth and improve investment climate.
