The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine welcomes the adoption of Draft Law #6482 “On Amendments to Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service” regarding voluntariness of women's military registration by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on October 7, 2022. According to the Chamber member companies’ experts, the Draft Law adoption will contribute to the improvement of the procedure of putting women into the military register of conscripts as well as reducing the burden on territorial centers of recruitment and social support.
Given the above, we supported the initiative of changes provided by the Draft Law in general.
Experts of the Chamber Human Capital Committee have been continuously emphasizing the importance of balanced regulation of labor relations considering the specifics of martial law conditions and are ready to continue to provide professional expertise in the process of developing legislative and regulatory changes.
