On the AmCham Ukraine’s request and following the agreements reached during the recent Chamber Agricultural Committee Meeting with Volodymyr Lapa, Head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (hereinafter – Service) the Service issued official clarification to its regional branches on indication of the title for written notice to phytosanitary certificate as a “Note to Phytosanitary Certificate”.
The AmCham Ukraine welcomes such decision as it will bring procedure for issuance of phytosanitary certificate in accordance with International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures #12 "Guidelines for Phytosanitary Certificates". In addition, it will help to avoid misunderstandings with international partners and prevent unjustified barriers to international grain trade.
