Policy Win: Simplified Procedure of Employment and Obtaining Long-Term Visa for Foreign Citizens Entered into Force

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine welcomes official publication at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine website of the CMU Resolution #368 “On Amendments to the Rules of Issuing Visas for Entry into Ukraine and for Transit Through its Territory” dated March 6, 2019. CMU Resolution #368 cancels the requirement on necessity of leaving the territory of Ukraine for obtaining “type D” visa by foreign citizens and enters into force on June 26, 2019.

It is expected that adoption of this CMU Resolution will result in increasing the Ukraine’s attractiveness for high-profile professionals as well as simplifying foreign professionals’ engagement in work for companies operating in Ukraine.

The Chamber welcomes this important step and supports further improvement of the regulatory basis in the sphere of labor relations with foreign citizens in Ukraine.
