On January 28, 2021 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Draft Law #3087-d "On the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine" (Draft Law) aimed at creating a law enforcement agency that will deal with criminal violations in the field of economic activity and eliminates the tax police.
The Chamber member companies' experts have submitted proposals to improve and finalize the Draft Law, thus support and generally welcome the establishment of a single body for the prevention, detection, cessation, investigation and detection of criminal offenses in the field of economic activity related to public finances.
The final version of the adopted document is currently unpublished, so the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine will assess these legislative changes separately.
