Policy Progress: Government Adopted Resolution on Availability of Electronic Residence Permits in Ukraine in Diia Application

Policy Progress: Government Adopted Resolution on Availability of Electronic Residence Permits in Ukraine in Diia Application

On November 10, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the experimental project on the availability of e-permits (temporary or permanent residence permits in Ukraine) in the “Diia” application.

The foreigners and stateless persons with appropriate biometric passports will be eligible to obtain a digital version of a temporary or permanent residence permit by analogy with the e-passport procedure for Ukrainian citizens.

The Chamber member companies believe that the automatization of existing workflow and transition to electronic one will contribute to increasing efficiency of workflow. AmCham members also consider such a high-tech and innovative approach, providing 24/7 access to documents all over the world, an extremely important initiative during lockdowns.

The Chamber member companies’ experts will continue to provide the necessary expert assistance to further digitalize processes and remove barriers to the introduction of electronic document management.
