The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine welcomes the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Agrarian and Land Policies to recommend Draft Law #2289 amending Article 4 of the Law “On Pesticides and Agrochemicals” for adoption in the first reading and as a basis.
During the last 3 crop protection seasons, because of the provisions of current legislation in crop protection sphere, the international R&D companies failed to import over 110 innovative products with about 20 new active ingredients or their combinations for state trials and research. Mentioned Draft Law is designed to unblock scientific researches and state trials of innovative crop protection products in Ukraine, and its adoption could significantly improve investment attractiveness of the crop protection market in Ukraine and eliminate trade barriers in the sphere.
