AmCham Ukraine welcomes registration of Draft Law #6248 "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine regarding Food Products and Other Objects of Sanitary Measures" (Draft Law) by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The Draft Law is aimed at harmonizing the existing legislation in the field of food and feed safety, animal health and welfare with the European standards, and its overall improvement.
Experts of the Chamber Food & Beverage Committee took an active part in the development of the Draft Law when it was published for public consideration by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
We welcome the inclusion of certain Chamber proposals in the Draft Law. At the same time, the improvement of its other provisions is in the further focus of the Chamber member companies' experts for streamlining the food safety legislation.
