Policy Progress: Chamber Efforts Resulted in Postponing the Grain Standards Cancellation

Policy Progress: Chamber Efforts Resulted in Postponing the Grain Standards Cancellation

The Chamber welcomes clarification of the Ukrainian Research and Training Center of Standardization, Certification and Quality on grain standards developed before 1992 and which should have been expired on January 1, 2019.

Considering that mentioned standards are set for quality control and food security in the area of harvesting, storage, processing, transportation and export of grain, they are essential for the agricultural industry. The Chamber has repeatedly addressed the Government with a request to postpone cancellation of standards due to the lack of regulatory documents that could be put into effect to replace mentioned standards.
