On September 17, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Draft Law #3615-1 on making changes to Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Pharmaceutical Products" on the electronic retail trade of pharmaceutical products.
This Draft Law allows defining basic requirements to the trade of pharmaceutical products using electronic retail channels of distribution, which will help to set the regulation of this process in accordance with EU legislation.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine supports the adoption of this Draft Law. It will help to scale up access to quality medicines, ensure appropriate delivery conditions of pharmaceutical products within electronic retail, and provide a higher level of protection from ineffective and substandard medicines to consumers.
