The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (AmCham) welcomes the decision of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine (the Ministry) to update the border crossing rules for freight vehicles within the electronic queue system (eQueue), particularly by granting priority border crossing rights to freight vehicles transporting goods for enterprises with Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status.
According to AmCham member companies, this initiative will increase the ability of enterprises with AEO status to benefit from the advantages provided, stimulate greater business interest in obtaining AEO status, help maintain a balance between customs control and international supply chain efficiency, facilitate international trade, and support the implementation of European Commission recommendations to expand the use of the AEO institute while ensuring access to its benefits.
AmCham member companies consistently support the development of the AEO institute in Ukraine, make efforts to obtain the appropriate status from the State Customs Service of Ukraine in accordance with the Customs Code of Ukraine, and once again express their gratitude for the ongoing support and constructive cooperation with the business community.
