The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine welcomes the adoption of the Draft Law #5865 “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On State Regulation of Capital Markets and Organized Commodity Markets” and Certain Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Regulation and Supervision of Capital Markets and Organized Commodity Markets” (Draft Law) by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on February 22, 2024.
This Draft Law aims to build an effective regulation system on the domestic capital market, particularly by significantly expanding the powers of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission and giving it the authority to investigate offences in the capital markets. The Chamber member companies' experts have consistently provided their comments and suggestions on a number of provisions, some of which were taken into account in the final edition of the draft.
AmCham Ukraine is grateful to the Members of Parliament for adopting this Draft Law with the proposals of the business community, as well as to the member companies’ experts for their professional support during the drafting process. We look forward to successful implementation of the innovations provided by the Draft Law.
