On November 22, 2023, the Draft Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) amending the Annex to the CMU Resolution #957 dated October 30, 2008 “On Establishing Minimum Wholesale and Retail Prices for Certain Types of Alcoholic Beverages” was published on the official website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine for public consideration.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine consistently supported the alignment of the minimum retail prices for cider and perry with the requirements of the tax legislation and the corresponding increase of such prices, considering the growing costs of raw materials procurement, production of beverages, logistics, energy costs, etc.
Considering this, AmCham welcomes the incorporation of business community’s proposals in the current wording of the Draft Resolution and calls on the Government to consider and approve it as soon as possible.
