AmCham Ukraine welcomes the adoption of Draft Law #4353 “On Postal Services” (Draft Law) by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the second reading.
The Draft Law is developed to harmonize national legislation with the legislation of the European Union in the field of postal services by implementing the provisions of Directive 97/67/EC.
The Draft Law foresees:
- provision of universal postal services accessible to users;
- introduction of general rules for the development of the internal market of postal services and improvement of the quality of service;
- stimulating the development of competition in the postal sector.
Ensure the development of the postal sector in Ukraine by harmonization of the national legislation with the legislation of the European Union is one of the key priorities of the AmCham Infrastructure Committee.
We look forward to the soonest signing of the respective Law by the President of Ukraine and further successful implementation of its provisions.
