On November 10, 2021, the President of Ukraine signed Draft Law #4554 "On Amendments to Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine to Bring the Legislation of Ukraine in the Field of Baby Food in Line with the Requirements of EU Legislation" (Draft Law).
The Draft Law was aimed at harmonization of baby food legislation in Ukraine with EU regulations by recognizing the Law of Ukraine "On Baby Food" as invalid and amending certain Laws of Ukraine regulated to food safety and quality, state control in the sphere, healthcare, advertising.
The Draft Law was adopted by the Parliament on October 21, 2021, and will enter into force on May 13, 2022.
The Chamber welcomes the adoption of the Draft Law and will continue to promote harmonization of the national legislation in line with the European standards.
